Interested in becoming a member of the
tampa bay symphony?

Auditions for the Tampa Bay Symphony are held annually in early August.  The audition will include 2 excerpts (provided in advance), and a piece of your choosing, about 2 minutes in length.

Members of the Orchestra participate on a voluntary basis and are not paid.  Applications for membership will be reviewed by the Personnel Manager, Section Principal and the Music Director prior to invitation. New musicians are required to audition in order to become a member unless approved by the Music Director.

Personal practice time will be necessary for the Orchestra to maintain the highest standard. Each musician is expected to make time throughout the week to practice his/her music prior to rehearsal and concerts.
