Recorded selection must be the same one that is to be performed with the Orchestra, maximum length 15 minutes. It must have readily available orchestral accompaniment parts, and be memorized for audition. Enclose a recording, 15 minutes maximum, of any movement of a concerto (or other appropriate work for solo instrument and orchestra) that you would like to perform with the Tampa Bay Symphony. Recording should include you playing solo part, plus soft piano accompaniment. A simple recording on a home unit is sufficient; however, high quality tape or CD should be used as it affects the judges’ decision. Recordings are non-returnable.  Tape/CD, application and $25 non-refundable application fee must be received by Oct 01, 2011 at the address below. Finalists will be notified by Oct 19, 2011 and perform at a public audition be held Nov 19 2011. The winner must attend three rehearsals and perform with the Orchestra at the all three April 2012 concert performances. Applicant must not reach their 22^nd birthday prior to the final audition.
