2008 Young Artist Competition Winner

The final audition has concluded and a winner was selected. Three competition finalists performed before a panel of judges at the Music Gallery in Largo. This year, the competition was again close and after a late morning of auditions, Judges Dr. Jack Heller, Halina Bobrow, Kurt Klotz and Carol Skey awarded Sabrina Fernandez (Piano) winner of last year's competition. Fernandez performed the first movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor at the Orchestra's Spring Concert series in April 2008, received a $1000 cash prize and standing ovations from the audience.
